Steps for a successful “Black Friday”

1. Sleep in until 11 a.m. Blink several times and realize that yes, it is still possible for you to sleep in until almost 11 in the morning.

2. Heat up some leftover Thanksgiving biscuits and put some coffee on. Wait about 5 minutes, pour coffee into snowman mug thing, and enjoy.

3. Have a long, philosophical discussion about a culture of entitlement vs. incentives to work hard and then apply that framework to multiple scenarios (internationally, domestically, universal health care, employer-provided health care, etc.). Remind conversation mate that she still has work to do. šŸ˜‰

4. Refill snowman coffee mug thing.

5. Write new WordPress post.

6. Type in

7. Shop (maybe).

8. Ponder whether or not it would be a good idea to make ginger snaps. Slowly devise plan to accomplish this task.

9. Type in again.

10. Shop (maybe).

  1. And here I thought it was to stand pressed up against a pallet full of video games at Walmart for an hour till they unravel it and grab every game you can … hoping you manage to get the one you want in your hands. Then head into the crowd farther to get to the $2 movies and yet again grab everything you can and hope you get the movies you wanted. Then decide which ones you REALLY want as you stand in line for an hour… putting the ones you don’t on shelves along the way. lol

    • Heh, we don’t have Walmarts in NYC. šŸ˜‰ But I’d say that our crowds are far more insane than anywhere else in the country. Needless to say, I made some great purchases on amazon during black Friday without even leaving the comfort of my chair and mug of coffee. šŸ™‚
